Evan + Asher | Evansville Winter Wedding

Evan and Asher’s story began in high school, but these two didn’t really meet or start dating until much later. After high school, Evan worked as a barista for a summer at a coffee shop Asher occasionally hung out at. Evan remembers that they never spoke when he came in, but that she thought he was super cute. When summer was over, Evan went off to college and Asher toured the country with his band. Eventually, when she moved back to Evansville after graduating in 2014, Asher reached out to her and they finally went on their first date. Asher eventually proposed on trip they took with their group of friends to New Orleans (Evan’s favorite place in the world). He insisted on visiting Jackson Square to “take a photo” and ended up getting down on one knee.

Katy + Jake | Evansville Boho Wedding

Today’s story is about Jake and Katy. I’ve been SO excited to photograph these two since the day they reached out to me! Katy and Jake are two of the most genuine, lovable people you'll ever meet. These two actually connected via Facebook message, although they had a handful of mutual friends. At the time, Jake was actually in another relationship, but a few months later, after that relationship ended, he remembered Katy’s witty message and asked her to dinner! Throughout their relationship, Jake collected videos of their adventures and fun times. He took all of the footage and put together a montage of everything. While on a two-week trip to Peru, after 8 hours of hiking to Machu Picchu, Jake presented the video to Katy and got down on one knee! I forgot to mention that Jake is a videographer, so this was the perfect proposal that truly reflected his creativity.
