CATCH UP ON THE LATEST:
The most common thing that I hear from my couples after a wedding day is that “it went by so fast”. Trust me, you’ll be so busy happy crying & dancing that the day will turn into one big, amazing, love-filled blur.
You put so much thought into your wedding day & finding the right photographer will ensure that you get to relive & savor those moments for the rest of your life. So, here are my top 3 tips to help you get there!
Wedding planning is such a fun & exciting time in our lives but, let’s be real, it can be A LOT. So, this week I’m sharing some wonderful advice given to me by past Kalli June brides on what they would tell anyone currently planning a wedding. Who better to listen to than the person who was very recently in your shoes? Let’s see what they had so say…
Family photos are important on a wedding day, I’m totally not denying that. But what I will say is that they are also usually one of the most stressful parts of the day, if you let them be. Here are my top tips to incorporate them in a way that doesn’t stress anyone out or interrupt the flow of the day.
As some of you may know, I am currently engaged. So, as a wedding photographer, I probably know more than the average bride-to-be. But honestly, I don’t know EVERYTHING about planning a wedding. I still had lots of questions and wasn’t quite sure what my immediate priorities should be. After doing a little research & talking to others who have recently been in my shoes, I put together a list of where to start. Here’s what I learned:
Every single one of my wedding collections include an engagement session. I do make exceptions for some of my couples, particularly those who live far away. But, for the most part, I insist that my couples do an engagement session with me before their wedding day. There are so many reasons for this but here are the biggies in my book:
For this weeks blog post, I invited my friend Jena from River Top Event Coordinating to give us a little insight into some things you may not know about planning a wedding. Let’s see what she had to say…
It’s no secret that planning a wedding can be overwhelming but I’m here to help as much as possible. I attend about 25 weddings/year, so you could say I’ve just about seen it all. It was so difficult for me to only choose 3 tips to share today because, as my brides know, I have SO many more. But these are my top ones & I hope they help ease your wedding planning mind!
What can I expect my investment to be?
Wedding collections range from $2,750-$3,750. All include a minimum of 9 hours of coverage, an engagement session, timeline planning, printing rights & so much more. Contact me for a detailed pricing guide!
When can I expect my images?
Portrait sessions are delivered within 1-2 weeks & weddings are delivered within 4-6 weeks. More often than not, I deliver early but also have to account for busier times of the year when turnaround may not be as quick as I would like.
I know how hard it is to wait so I always post a sneak peek as soon as I can, usually within 1-2 days. :)
Have you ever had professional images taken? Did you gush over them for a few months, then forget about them? Where are they now? When is the last time you looked at them? I’ll be honest, as a professional photographer, this isn’t something that I like to think about. The reason that I choose this profession is because I value the images I’m taking & the memories I’m preserving. There are so so many reasons to print your images but here are a few that are close to my heart & I hope that you take away something from this information.
I always feel like I need to start these things with “hey ya’ll!” even though I don’t think I’ve ever actually said that phrase in real life. But it’s so warm & friendly I can’t resist, so… hey ya’ll, I’m Kalli! Little bits & pieces of me can be found throughout here but I wanted to compile some of the most important ones so that you know exactly who you're talking to before you even send that first email.
